Post:Ballet presents 'Sneak Peek'
Featuring choreography by Robert Dekkers and cinematography by Amir Jaffer, 'Interference Pattern' investigates the influence of observation on our behavior through a series of 'experiments.' Using the form of observation imposed as the variable, the artists aim to elicit a variety of responses- both from the dance artists and the audience- in this intimate exploration of observation's influence on our subconscious.
The collaborators will share rough draft excerpts from the cinematic element of the new work from 7-8pm, with a live performance featuring the Post:Ballet dance artists beginning at 8pm. The artists will discuss their initial inspiration for 'Interference Pattern,' the concepts behind the work, and their collaborative creative process in a brief, moderated discussion following the live performance.
