MAIN STAGE:

*WILL BAILEY
Simma Records/ myspace.com/willbaileymusic
Birmingham, United Kingdom

-Re-inventing himself more times than Madonna, Will's many aliases (including the in-your-face Twocker, techno beast Rudi Stakker and fidget force Bass Weazal) have been causing a ruckus on the airwaves with over 30 recent Radio 1 plays alone. Props have been coming in thick and fast from across the DJ spectrum: Pete Tong, Armand Van Helden, Wolfgang Gartner, Judge Jules and Fatboy Slim have all recognised Will Bailey's talents in 2009, while Galaxy Radio kingpin Andi Durrant described Will's productions as "proper get-out-of-jail tracks."

A regular player in the top of the beatport charts with over 100 releases to date, Will's recent massive 'Hit The Club' banger loomed large in all credible bassbins at the end of last year, receiving heavy radio support from Kissy Sell Out, Pete Tong and Judge Jules, while a long list of DJs including Crookers, mstrkrft and Paul Oakenfold gave it considerable club rotation.

Bass Weazel's catalogue, included 'Kill The Fox', 'Break The Bomb' and 'Loco Selector' followed suit, scoring high on the playlists for specialist shows. Bass Weazal's 'Jungle Massive' has also recently appeared on the Plump DJs' mix for Global Underground.
With a natural ear for heavy hitters, it was clear that the Birmingham-based studio whizz would find success with his own label Simma. With a collaboration between himself and Hot Mouth ('Underwear Funk') and Aniki and Bling Fingah released in the autumn of 2009.

*DJ RAP
www.djrap.com/ At Large | Ministry of Sound
Los Angeles, CA

-Over her 15-year career, DJ Rap has moved effortlessly between genres, staking her claim on various styles within the electronic spectrum, while simultaneously pushing the limits of rock and pop. The First Lady of Drum 'n' Bass and the undisputed Queen of the Turntables, her music has infiltrated club systems and car stereos worldwide, and her numerous forays into video game and motion picture soundtracks have solidified her pedigree as one dance music's most successful and prolific artists.

With three studio albums, 75 mix compilations and over 2,000,000 in cumulative worldwide sales to her name, what makes you think she'd stop now?

In May 2010, DJ Rap will release Synthesis (Ministry of Sound), though it's been three years in the making, Synthesis represents merely one facet of Rap's diversified portfolio. Her drum 'n' bass and breakbeat imprint, Propa Talent, has released over 200 tracks since its inception in 1994, and has become one of the genre's most respected and well known labels. With its relaunch this year, Propa Talent once again returns to the spotlight, offering up new releases from artists like Nebula, Killin' Time, Mark Campbell, DJ CJ, Mezo and Kyshido. Meanwhile, Impropa Talent, founded in 2008, catalogues Rap's ongoing love affair with house music, and features the work of established producers like Mike Hiratzka, as well as up-and-comers like Tyler Revata and K-OBA. As owner, manager and A&R for both labels, Rap has been busy cultivating fresh new talent that you're sure to be hearing from in the near future. And that's just the beginning.

In 2010, Rap will again reshape the landscape with Metasyn, a ferocious new D&B project with producer and vocalist Chemical Hero. A complete sensory blitzkrieg, the Metasyn experience will transform everyone's preconceptions of what live drum 'n' bass can be.

*AARON SIMPSON
Simplify Records
Seattle, WA

-Starting in 1999, Simpson's near constant metamorphosis has kept fans worldwide on the tips of their toes wondering where he'll strike next. Starting as a DJ, Simpson quickly rose to prominence as Seattle's most beloved trance jock, headlining shows across the United States during the early part of the new millennium. As his notoriety rose, so too did his passion for edgier sounds and in 2003 Simpson made the switch to drum & bassa move that would be marked by a series of milestones: sharing billing with everyone from Andy C to Ed Rush & Optical to Goldie; a series of DJ mixes that have garnered well over a 100,000 downloads worldwide; garnering 4 of 5 stars from DJ Mag in 2007 with his initial foray into production with collaborator Brian Abbey on their tune Never Far from Right (Subsonik Remix). But those things don't really paint a clear picture of what Simpson's evolved into today.

Today, while still maintaining a rigorous DJ schedule, Simpson's turned from mere DJ to label boss and owner of the widely successful Simplify Recordings. In just over a year, the label has risen to prominence in the digital realm to become one of the most successful and diverse electronic music labels operating in the US today. Focusing on bass music, the label has produced over 30 drum & bass, dubstep, glitch hop, and electro releases to critical and popular acclaim. Simplify Recordings has been instrumental in helping to bring some of the most cutting edge bass music in the world to light, including releases by Nit Grit, NumberNin6, Love & Light, and NTRLD. Label boss. Disc Jockey. Producer. Aaron Simpson's worn all three hats in his past and seems to be showing no signs of slowing down. As a new decade unfolds, it'll be interesting to see what Simpson evolves into next.

He began to promote shows with the Unda Dawgz Crew, bringing such heavyweights to Portland as Excision, Hatcha, 6Blocc (R.A.W.), Babylon System, Sukh Knight, Cyrus, D:Code, KJ Sawka, Darkside & Claw. In 2010 he started Phantom Hertz Recordings with long time friend and music producer iZaiah.
