Port of Seattle Candidate Forum: Our Environment and a Working Waterfront
UPDATE: Tickets will be available at the door tonight.

As the Polar Pioneer sitting in Terminal 5 aptly demonstrates, the Seattle Port Commission holds significant power over the direction of our city's working waterfront. Join us on June 29th for a candidate forum to hear directly from Port of Seattle Commissioner candidates about how they will address pressing environmental and economic issues facing the Port including:

~ Their vision for a working waterfront in the face of climate change impacts;
~ Plans to ensure the Port of Seattle remains competitive with other west coast ports;
~ Transparent government process;
~ Duwamish river and superfund cleanup;
~ Competitive, living wage jobs
~ Air pollution and traffic congestion;
~ And much more!

This event is hosted by: Washington Environmental Council, Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition/Technical Advisory Group, League of Women Voters, One America Votes, Washington Conservation Voters, Sierra Club (Seattle Chapter), Puget Soundkeeper Alliance, Climate Solutions, Puget Sound Sage, Blue-Green Alliance of Washington and Puget Sound Advocates for Retirement Action.

Confirmed candidates are: Ken Rogers, Marion Yoshino, Fred Felleman, Mark Hennon, Daniel Reandeau,  Norman Sigler, and a representative for Herb Krohn.
