The Advent Project with Lori Piitz, pianist
The Advent Project with pianist Lori Piitz presents a concert of a cappella and piano accompanied Lieder on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 8:00 pm at The Lyceum, 201 South Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. This intimate venue will help recreate the atmosphere of the original performances of some of this program's repertoire, which were written for social gatherings in the salons of dedicated Viennese friends and patrons of Brahms, and the piano room of Rossini's own Paris apartment. This program of Romantic era songs for small chorus lasts approximately one and one-quarter hour.
