JOHNNY DAM
ohnny Dam has been performing comedy ever since he could utter a sentence. As the resident class clown, he deprived his fellow students of any semblance of a public education all in the name of comedy.
A native of Los Angeles, Johnny began his actual comedy career out of sheer necessity in December of 1991 because he couldn't afford therapy. Since then he has toured the U.S., Canada, roasted Generals and Congressmen, announced for a racetrack, been a professional spokesperson for a major software company, written and directed two short films, produced an 2x award-winning daily radio show, and has traveled into the war zones of the Middle East to entertain the troops.
1996 Johnny began featuring throughout the western, north western, and south western regions of the country, as well as several tours into Canada
2004 Johnny began teaching stand-up comedy for the internationally famous Improv comedy clubs in Irvine and Ontario, California. In fact, several of his students currently have successful careers in the entertainment industry.
2005 & 2006 Johnny embarked on two 30-day tours to entertain the troops in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. While Johnny never did serve in the military, he's proud to have done his duty by entertaining those that answered their country's call. He also released his first CD "The Painful Truth", in 2006, which has sold out through five production runs.
2008 Johnny Dam temporarily left the stage to produce his own 2x award-winning politically funny Internet radio show The DAMage Report, where he would bring together 4 comedians, 5 headlines, and two hours of open microphones. On the heels of such success and his head filled with an artificially sweetened ego, he then created Porn Star Pundits, foolishly thinking that porn stars actually cared about politics. With the exception a few really smart Adult Film stars, this venture not only proved a fool's folly, it completely ruined porn for Johnny as well.
2012 Johnny moved from Los Angeles, CA, to the small rural town of New Castle, PA, where he has since gotten back to his roots and is now headlining all across the nation. In 2013, Johnny reformatted The DAMage Report into a 2-3 minute FCC-friendly satirical newscast that was instantly picked up by three different radio stations across the U.S.
When asked to define his job Johnny will tell you that as a comedian, his job is not just to entertain you, it is to help you look at the world through another lens, and sometimes that lens is a mirror. And as he often tells his audience "Every joke has a victim, and the only thing funnier than the truth is the painful truth."
