Martha and Dee Visit the Fifth Dimension directed by Noelle Foster

Martha's family has all the outward trappings of suburban bliss. But in reality, her home life is a dystopia of parental egocentricity and neglect. When Martha decides to run away from home, she brings her invisible friend Dee along for an adventure in the city. The two girls discover answers to life and the universe, including the nature of the Fifth Dimension.

Teenager Jude is happy and confident about her pregnancy until she overhears her father Michael telling her teacher it's a terrible mistake. Feeling hurt and betrayed, Jude flees the school and Michael chases her into a busy street market. It is there that Jude shows her courage when she stands up to a group of young men mugging a Chinese DVD Seller. It becomes clear to Michael that he must be stronger in his daughters defense.

Audiences listen and observe as a Colombian immigrant new to San Francisco reflects on the great change in her lifestyle. A former member of the FARC guerilla group she now finds herself away from the violence she has come to know and attempts to understand her new peaceful surrounding.

In 1982 war-torn Beirut, a family lives an emotional war inside the house. Each one seeks a dream. At the end, they all have to face the reality of war.
