The Playgrounds Double Bill series presents Michael Gomez's HI MIJO IT'S YOUR MOM!!!.
AND Miguel Lepe Jr & Rich Alfonso's MIGRATE EXPECTATIONS
After a sold out and highly recommended first run Michael Gomez is back with "HI MIJO IT'S YOUR MOM" , Michael Gomez's mom is notorious for leaving him lengthy voicemails in which she shares her often irrational, always hilarious, thoughts and fears. Gomez explores the themes of these voicemails to show you what the world would look like if Mama Gomez were right. Sadly, she just might be.
Michael Gomez has trained in improvisation and sketch comedy at The Second City Conservatory, iO Chicago, and the Annoyance Theater. He currently performs at The Playground Theater with his Incubator team, Barnacle, and all over Chicago with his sketch group, Focus on the Ham. Gomez is excited to remount "Hi, Mijo, It's Your Mom," his first solo show, which debuted in April at The Playground.

Coming to America is hard, not disappointing the parent who risked it all is hard too. From imigration reform to tamales, from day laborers to fearing the chancla, "Migrate Expectations" is a sketch show with a point of view from first-generation Americans, the sons of imigrant parents.
SPIC & TAN
Spic & Tan is Rich Alfonso and Miguel Lepe Jr. They use improvisation to create their material which is heavily influenced by their Dominican and Mexican backgrounds respectively.
