Winner of the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, David Mamet's explosive script inhabits the world of small time, cutthroat real estate salesmen, ruthlessly fighting for their shrinking share of the American pie. Mamet's dialogue--almost lyrical in its
use of obscenity--viciously exposes the harsh lives of these modern day warriors, whose primal acts of conniving and manipulation are at once pathetic, hilarious, and deeply disturbing.

Released as a film in 1992 with a dream cast (Al Pacino, Ed Harris, Alan Arkin, Jack Lemmon, Kevin Spacey, and Jonathan Price) and revived on Broadway in 2006 with Liev Schreiber and Alan Alda, this ferocious blend of comedy and drama has by now firmly established itself as a masterpiece of modern drama.
