Marin's Eco Friendly Garden Tour
Over 25 of Marin's eco-friendly gardens are available on this self-guided tour - and 18 of them are NEW this year. Take this opportunity to visit and ask questions of homeowners and professional landscapers involved with the garden's design, installation and/or maintenance.
Garden highlights include, but are not limited to: rainwater catchment systems (e.g. cisterns and swales), smart irrigation controllers, permeable walkways, greywater systems, edibles, native and drought tolerant plants, urban chickens, and a cob bench.
Registration includes a Garden Guide that details features of each garden and directions for getting there. A COPY WILL BE E-MAILED TO ALL REGISTRANTS. BE SURE TO PROVIDE YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS! If you are unable to download the Guide from your computer, a printed hard-copy can be requested by calling 415-499-3202.
Tickets can also be purchased by cash or check. For details, go to www.mcstoppp.org or call the number above.
Tickets purchased online through "will call" may be picked up on Friday, May 13th between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:00 pm at the Marin Municipal Water District, 220 Nellen in Corte Madera or at the Marin County Civic Center, Room 311, 3501 Civic Center Drive in San Rafael. "Will call" tickets may also be picked up at one of several designated gardens on the day of the Tour. These gardens will be located in Woodacre, San Anselmo, San Rafael and Novato. The exact locations will be listed on a message accessible by phone at 499-3202.
