"Reach for the Stars" Radio Hour - BCC 6th Annual Fundraising Gala
March 25 fundraising gala to benefit Bellingham Chamber Chorale
(Bellingham) - Bellingham Chamber Chorale presents its 'Reach for the Stars' radio hour, a reminiscence of 1940s radio and vocal classics and gala benefit auction on Friday, March 25, 6:00 p.m. at Bellingham Golf and Country Club, 3729 Meridian Street. Tickets for the event, which includes a multi-course dinner, fine wines, musical entertainment, and a silent and live auction, are $65 per person and are available for purchase at brownpapertickets.com, Piper Music, Village Books, and The Community Food Co-Op.
Bellingham Chamber Chorale is a 40-member chamber choir of singers from Whatcom and Skagit Counties. Now in its eighth season, the highly polished group features music from the renaissance to modern times, collaborations with musicians and composers who range from local to international renown. The BCC is directed by Tim Fitzpatrick. Ryan Smit is acting Interim Artistic Director for the 2010-2011 concert season.
"Bellingham Chamber Chorale's gala provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy an intimate evening with some of our community's most talented singers and performers," according to BCC singer and gala co-chair Betsy Senff, "This year's theme, "Reach for the Stars' radio hour, is a reminiscence of 1940s radio and vocal classics. Gala guests will be the live studio 'audience' as members and friends of BCC regale them with songs and music of the 1930s and 40s as they enjoy a multi-course, wine-inclusive dinner. Guests will have the opportunity to show support for BCC bidding on silent and live auction items that include culinary adventures, home & garden items, arts and entertainment and more."
