Fashioning Resistance to Militarism is an opportunity to raise awareness of how militarized our society has become and we are using fashion as a lens! Whether it is in the cars we drive (SUVs and HUMVEES) to the aggressive military recruitment in our schools to the clothes we wear (camouflage, cargo, etc.), we are seeing every aspect of our society reflecting the normalization and commercialization of war and violence.
