9th of 10 kids, raised by two English professors on a steady diet of classic literature and classical music.

Written on nylon string over the course of a year while his girlfriend Sophia Heymans painted in the next room.
Sent demos to Homer Steinweiss and later workshopped them on a family farm in St. Joseph, MN.
Recorded at Diamond Mine in Queens, NY with the help of Leon Michels (El Michels Affair, Black Keys, Adele) and produced by Homer (Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, St. Vincent, Menahan Street Band).
