ALL KIDS CAN SUCCEED! EFFECTIVE INTERVENTIONS FOR BEHAVIORAL & SOCIAL CHALLENGES by Jed Baker Ph.D.
Students with special needs often present with difficulty regulating their feelings and interacting socially. This workshop describes how to handle meltdowns and design effective behavior plans to prevent these moments and reduce frustration and anxiety. The second part of the presentation details strategies to motivate students to learn, ways to teach social skills, how to generalize skills into the natural setting and increase acceptance and tolerance from peers. Information will be imparted though lecture, interactive exercises, and video clips.
NOTE: Registration & Continental Breakfast 8:15 - 9:00am Conference: 9:00am - 3:30pm
Continuing Education Credits are available for NJ educators and SLP through ASHA. NASW-NJ approval is currently being applied for.
Please note that registration fee is non-refundable but substitutes are permitted.

The workshop is appropriate for both groups - mood disorder and other emotional and behavioral difficulties and students on autistic spectrum. |

5 hours of contact are given for CEUs to NJ educators. We will also give ASHA credit (.5) for the workshop. You will get a certificate of completion at end of workshop. |
