Portland Vocal Consort presents world and northwest choral premieres at February 26 performance. Conducted by Ryan Heller, the ambitious Portland professional chamber choir offers new works by Cascadia Composers, Rober Kry, Bryan Johanson, Timothy Stephens, Joan Szymko, and other Pacific NW Composers as well as the world premier of the winner of the Portland Vocal Consort Young Composer contest. "The northwest is such a hotbed for excellent choral music, and there's an abundance of great work going on here. We need to champion that as best as we can." Ryan Heller
