Join in the discussion with David Isay, editor of this year's book, with journalist and interviewer Larry Mantle, host of KPCC's "Air Talk," and Press-Telegram's Rich Archbold. Hear the incredible stories of locals Phansy Peang--Cambodian holocaust survivor-- Gene Lentzner --legendary philanthropist--and Capt. Manny Aschemeyer, whose tales of the sea will thrill and amaze you!
Learn the art of the interview and the relationships between those trying to find a story and those trying to tell a story.
Long Beach Polytechnic High School Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Andy Osman, will perform music selected to reflect the themes of this year's Book Week: personal storytelling and the art of listening.
