Southern Market Lunch with Chef Virginia Willis
Join Southern food authority Chef Virginia Willis for a cooking demonstration and market lunch on Saturday, July 11 from 11:00-1:00 at Grow Local Kitchen in the Nashville Farmer's Market.
Chef Virginia will highlight Nashville's fresh, local produce with mouthwatering recipes from her newest cookbook, Lighten Up, Y'all: Classic Southern Recipes Made Healthy and Wholesome. Learn to make her Lightened Up Pimiento Cheese, hearty Vegetable Corn Bread, velvety Creamed Corn Stuffed Tomatoes, and sweet and juicy Basil-Peach Chicken Breasts. Her philosophy is all about saying "yes" not "no," so she will satisfy your sweet tooth with her luxurious Big Rich Texas Sheet Cake.
Samples will be provided and cookbooks can be purchased and signed after the demonstration. Grab a ticket while it's still hot!
