IKE STURM + EVERGREEN - Caritas Concert for Charity - Sacred Music in a Sacred Space
A family of nine friends and artists creating ambient jazz and soaring melodies, Evergreen's Shelter of Trees is a collection of original songs and psalm settings focused on renewal and restoration. Jazz Mass was named one of the Best CDs of the year by DOWNBEAT magazine.
6:30 PM - Refreshments 7:00 PM - Music begins 7:45 PM - intermission with refreshments 8:15 PM - Music continues
Held in Wallace Hall, Caritas Concerts have the appeal of the less formal salon concerts of the 19th century. The evenings begin and end with light refreshments and a chance to mingle with the performers, and intimate seating places the audience in close proximity to the music. As the name suggests, Caritas Concerts are benefits, with all proceeds directed toward charities that address social justice concerns.
100% of proceeds from this concert will go to Habitat for Humanity's work in New York City.
All tickets for Caritas Concerts: $50
All artists and programs subject to change. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
