Radio Milwaukee Music Awards

his February, 88NINE presents the 4th annual Radio Milwaukee Music Awards. Since the beginning of 2011, we have been asking you to vote for your favorite Milwaukee music of 2010. A laundry list of great albums were released in 2010, and we again want to show some love to all these hard working artists. This year we have been calling on you to vote in each category. The awards for Album of the year, Song of the year, Band of the year, Best Album Artwork and many more categories are up to you.

For the 3rd year in a row, we are going to compliment our awards show celebration with a music networking party. Here at 88NINE, we know that every breakout band, has to start somewhere. We pride ourselves on keeping tabs on the local music scene. Acts like Kings Go Forth, Jaill, Maritime and French Horn Rebellion all found a home here at 88NINE, well before they received international critical acclaim.

We always aim to be ahead of the curve, and with that, we invite all Milwaukee musicians and bands to our MILWAUKEE MUSIC NETWORKING PARTY. In addition to the entire Radio Milwaukee staff, we've also invited professionals from Summerfest, The Pabst Theater, Milwaukee Journal, Shepherd Express, and several recording studios, media houses and booking agencies. We urge any and all too come and network. Bring your CDs, media kits, business cards and positive energy to this casual social.

No need to RSVP, just show up! The doors for the music networking party 6:00pm, and the show will begin at 8:00pm.

Ah yes, the show! We have put together an impressive line up for this year's Milwaukee Music Awards celebration.
Herman Astro, I'm Not A Pilot, Automatic, Wildbirds and The Ragadors will grace the stage of the WHEREHOUSE in MIlwaukee's 5th Ward. Radio Milwaukee's DJs will also provide some tunes along with RunMKE.com creator DJ SLYM. The doors open at 6pm and show starts at 8:00. We hope you can join us in celebration of Milwaukee Music.
