Both living in New York, Dorit was a rising star among Israeli novelists and Hassan was a gifted Palestinian artist. A passionate, impossible friendship flourished between these exiles abroad. Hasan's colorful artwork is the catalyst for the film's animation, and Dorit's written account of their friendship guides the narrative.
