This concert, sponsored by the St. Nicholas Foundation, will be Chorale's first outside of the Bay Area.
The Chorale will present a program of monastery chants (Trinity-Sergius, Kiev-Caves and Optina Hermitage) and pieces harmonized by Russian composers of the XIX-XX centuries (A. Kastalsky, G. Lvovsky, N. Kedrov-fils and I. Gardner) including Boris Ledkovsky's powerful setting of the Paschal stichera in Znamenny Chant.
