RPG Comedy's 4th Annual Benefit Show for Know Resolve

Saturday May 2nd, 2015 Show
Show will start with a 30-minute comedy magic show performed by Joshua Wilde. After which RPG Comedy will take the stage for an hour and a half of short form "whose line" style improv in the traditional RPG Comedy style. There will be a short intermission between to break up the improv portion of the show to allow for bathroom breaks, concession and raffle purchases.
Important Times:
Doors Open: 5:30PM - please arrive between 530 and 545 to help us start on time.
Starting time: 6:00PM
Ending Time: 8:00PM
Cost: $25/ticket, but we are offering a special online $10 discount/ticket making the tickets only $15 each!
Location: Troy Community Center (Located on Livernois, just North of Big Beaver or 16 mile road) , banquet room 303.

Sunday May 3rd, 2015 Show
Show will start with a 30-minute comedy magic show performed by Joshua Wilde. After which RPG Comedy will take the stage for an hour and a half of short form "whose line" style improv. Unlike the Saturday show, this will be a brand new show format. Improv performers will be split into two teams and will be forced to compete against one another. You, the audience will decide which team wins! There will be a short intermission during the improv portion of the event to allow for bathroom breaks, or concession and raffle ticket purchases.

Doors Open: 3:30 - please arrive between 330 and 345 to help us start on time.
Starting time: 4:00PM
Ending Time: 6:00PM

Who is RPG Comedy?
RPG Comedy is a local theatre troupe based in Macomb County. The troupe specializes in short-form improv in the style of "Whose Line". RPG Comedy formed in May 2010 and has been entertaining audiences all over Metro-Detroit ever since. What is Know Resolve and what do they do?
KnowResolve is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting mental health and reducing youth suicides through outreach, advocacy and education. Our goals are to increase help-seeking behavior, connect teens and young adults to available resources, promote the development of healthy coping skills and promote relationship-building among students on school campuses.
Their primary program is an assembly-style presentation where students learn about facts, myths, risk factors and warning signs of suicidal behavior, what to do in crisis, available resources, and tips for coping with distress. These assemblies are provided to schools in Macomb County free of charge and an average of 1,500 students hear this message of empowerment and hope every month. Support for these assemblies is generated through the funds raised at the outreach and awareness events which are held in our community throughout the year.
What is short-form improv?
Short-form improv is a unique form of theatre that is unscripted and unrehearsed. Shows are lively, full of energy, and audience interactive. Every scene will be performed based on the audience's suggestions.
Audience interactive? Does that mean I might be pulled on stage?
RPG Comedy does usually have one scene that they will pull up audience members, but this is usually done with a raffle. 100% of the Get-a-Friend-on-Stage raffle is donated to Know Resolve.
What is the rating of the show? Can I bring my child?
RPG Comedy rates all of their improv shows at a PG-13 level. . . or that's how they start the show. With their 200+ years of performance experience, the actors have developed a strong sense of being able to read their audience. Every show is tailored to each audience. Because improv is unscripted and there is no telling where a scene might end after it's started, RPG Comedy recommends audiences be at least in their teens.
How much of the money is donated to Know Resolve?
50% of the show profit is donated to Know Resolve. RPG Comedy will also be donating the full "Get-a-friend-on-stage Raffle" and 50% of the 50/50 Raffle. On top of that, the founder of the troupe, Ryan Aman has stated he would donate an extra $1 for every person who came to the show out of his own pocket!
