JOLY BRAGA SANTOS: A PORTUGUESE PORTRAIT
JOLY BRAGA SANTOS: A PORTUGUESE PORTRAIT will be an evening entirely dedicated to the Portuguese composer, one of the most beloved of the 20th century. Whilst the first half will focus on his personal musical tastes, with works by Borodin and Tchaikovsky, the second half will present a new composition by Edmund Hartzell (inspired by Braga Santos) followed by the first ever performance in the UK of Joly Braga Santos Piano Concerto Op. 52.
