Description
Barks, Purrs & Laughs is an annual stand-up comedy showcase dedicated to helping save the lives of dogs and cats.  The event was created by Chicagoland comic and producer Nick Lullo.

Each show will feature performances by comedians Lauren Bishop, Vince Carone, Josh Cheney, Jim Flannigan and Kelly Williams.  Stage credits from these comedians include The Apollo Theater Chicago, Zanies, Improv Comedy Club, Second City and Improv Olympic.  The headlining performer will be none other than “The World’s Most Dangerous Comic”, Mark Faje.  Mark, aka, Mark “The Knife”, has performed in 17 countries and appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman (three times), Ripley’s Believe it or Not, Comedy Central and was a semi-finalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent.  Last year, the event raised $2,500 for The Anti-Cruelty Society.  This year, all profits will be donated to Heartland Animal Shelter.

The event will be held at the beautiful Footlik Theater at Oakton College.  The stadium-style seating arrangement allows for a clear view of the stage from any angle.  Plenty of FREE parking is available.

There are two shows at 5PM and 8PM.

It will be a wonderful night of laughs for a great cause.

Notes
Each audience member will receive a FREE burrito dinner voucher courtesy of Chipotle.  Also, Pepsi will generously be providing a variety of beverages for audiences members to enjoy. after the show.
