Tolliver:
Tolliver is a Black American r&b singer who lives for stiff drinks and broken people. He was raised on and betrayed by gospel music.
His songs are about the crossroads between hopelessness and euphoria, that moment when you're staring in an empty glass at last call while your favorite song plays.
Manchita:
Twin Cities' own rap hellion, Manchita, is gearing up to release her first sola project. Since her first collaboration with Slapping Purses in 2011, Manchita has managed to stay off the grid as a solo artist, choosing instead to focus on group projects, Tha Clerb (Mike Mictlan, Lizzo, Spyder Baybie Raw Dog, and 2%Muck) and more currently GRRRL PRTY (Lizzo, Sophia Eris, DJ Shannon Blowtorch, Quinn Wilson). GRRRL PRTY's highly-anticipated forthcoming release is only one of three projects expected in the next year from Manchita. She has teamed up with producer 2%Muck again, this time revealing a moody, heavy-hearted body of work, centered on love, loss, and survival. Her third offer to the world will be a sola record presenting both the familiar funny, ferocious side of Manchita that we know from GRRRL PRTY and Tha Clerb, and also the tender, sensual, softer side of Manchita that we have yet to hear come through in her music. Her material spans the spectrum from braggy twerk-along ego anthems, to what she has dubbed "sad bangers," catchy, shadow-ridden turns of tongue accented by jazz-smoked hooks.

There's the Chita in me--the confident, sarcastic, vulgar, ready to fight, twerk-enthusiast--and then there's the other side of me--the softy, the abandoned lover, the caretaker, the spiritually hibernating, perpetually grieving person. This sola project is about embracing all of me, the good, the bad, the silly, the foul. The tomboy and the princess. The rapper and the singer. It's a full dose."
