The story of how a simple handshake eliminated Black baseball players from the major leagues for nearly sixty years. This theatrical story combines historical significance with emotional elements to deliver a powerful life-changing experience. Richard "Scoop" Witherspoon is a former Negro League player, who has carried the resentment of being denied the opportunity to play in the major leagues on his back for thirty plus years. "Scoop" doesn't realize it, but before the day ends, Jackie Robinson will break baseball's long established color line with the Brooklyn Dodgers and "Scoop" will learn a lesson he'll never forget.
