Beethoven and Blank
The Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia presents Beethoven and Blank, a recital by cellist and CMSCVA Artistic Director James Wilson with pianist Carsten Schmidt. The two internationally-recognized musicians will perform the two last sonatas of Beethoven and the Richmond premiere of the "Duo" written for them in 2009 by composer Allan Blank. The program also includes the haunting "Ricordanza," a musical meditation on Beethoven by George Rochberg.
The concert will take place Sunday, February 20 at 4:00 p.m., at Bon Air Presbyterian Church, 9201 W. Huguenot Rd., Richmond.
Tickets for this concert are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $5 for students. There is ample parking available in the church lot.
