FRANK JACKSON QUARTET AT SECOND SATURDAY SALON
Frank Jackson is a legend who has played with legends. He is Jazz Royalty. As a traditional jazz musician and one of the most accomplished interpreters of the Great American Songbook, Jackson's style is reminiscent of Nat King Cole; his piano playing is brilliant and crisp. Jackson was recently honored as a Heritage Pioneer Jazz Legend of the Fillmore Jazz District, and is prominently featured in "Harlem of the West", the recent 2006 best-selling history of the Fillmore District Jazz Era of the 1940s and 1950s by Elizabeth Pepin and Lewis Watts.
Doors open at 8 pm and music starts 8:20-8:30.
Admission includes concert, small plates, and beverages.
