BARKS and BOURBON
Friends of Tulare Animal Services is proud to present our first annual fundraiser Barks and Bourbon on Saturday, May 9, 2015 which will be held from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm. This prohibition theme fundraiser includes a candy bar, wine grab, games, as well as both silent and live auctions. You can do some Bourbon tasting while enjoying heavy hors d'oeuvres all while helping save the lives of animals in need. Each year, tens of thousands of unwanted pets are euthanized in underfunded Central Valley shelters. Tulare Animal Services opened a beautiful shelter and their staff and volunteers have worked very hard to save and enrich the lives of homeless animals. Besides the amazing improvements that have been made to the shelter, we continue to save the lives of animals by establishing relationships with rescues throughout the state and work very hard to arrange transports. The event will be held at the Tulare International Agri-Center, Social Hall building located at 4500 S. Laspina, Tulare, CA 93274. Barks and Bourbon will raise money to help provide medical care to those animals who are injured and ill while also providing funds for the transports that save the lives of hundreds of animals every month. Last year 1600 animals were transported and saved from this hardworking shelter, and with the help and support of the community, we can save even more animals in need. We are hoping to raise funds for a dedicated transport van and hope that this year we can save more than 2000 animals. It is a great cause, and now we just need your support!
