Seasonal Food for Health: Winter
This is Part 1 of a four part workshop, Seasonal Food for Health, during which we will apply ancient Chinese medicinal properties in a contemporary life. The other classes will focus on Spring health in March, Summer health in June, and Fall health in September.
Chinese Medicine believes that nature can guide us in healthy eating and living to promote vibrant health: as the Seasons change the foods we eat should also change to stay balanced. In this class licensed acupuncturist Daniela Freda will explain the health-promoting wisdom of Chinese Medicine to modern-day life by teaching you about seasonal healthy foods of the Bay Area. You will learn key foods and recipes to detox and strengthen your body so you can stay healthy this Winter. Then we will eat our way to health together with tastings of healing herbal teas and a warming bone broth. Please note that this is not a vegetarian class.
