Listen To Your Mother: NWIndiana 2015
Join us as we explore the beauty, the beast and the barely-rested that is motherhood! You will be taken on a journey as story tellers read their original works on the many different aspects that make up motherhood. The stories range from heart-warming to heart-wrenching and some are just plain hysterical. Come laugh and cry with us as we take Mother's Day beyond brunch and give it a microphone!
Recommended for ages 13+. Performance lasts 90 minutes with no intermission.
Listen to Your Mother (LTYM) is a national series of live readings by local writers in celebration of Mother's Day. Each production is directed, produced, and performed by local communities, for local communities.
Each LTYM show donates a minimum of 10% of ticket proceeds to local causes. The fifth annual NW Indiana show will benefit the Food Bank of NWI.
What started as a single show in Madison, Wisconsin in 2010 has grown into a coast-to-coast phenomenon, with 39 cities participating in 2015 and an anthology, Listen To Your Mother: What She Said Then, What We're Saying Now from Putnam Books that will land in bookstores on April 7, 2015.
