So special, Italiano! Join Let's Do Lunch in Charleston December 3 at Il Cortile del Re, Lower King Street's authentic Italian treasure. The menu:
First Course: Mixed greens, shredded carrots, roasted peppers, black olives, tomatoes tossed with red wine vinaigrette, Italiana Insalate.
Second Course Vegetarino or Salsiccia Half Panini, spinach, fontina, roasted red peppers & sauteed mushrooms or
Italian pork sausage, mozzarella, tomato sauce and hot cherry peppers. Both are served on fresh focaccia with housemade italian three bean salad.
Third Course Pasta, choice of Putanesca: spaghetti with a sauce of slowly cooked tomatoes, calamata olives, garlic, anchovies & topped with parmigiano cheese, or Tre Sapori: penne pasta with sauteed asparagas, pancetta & wild mushrooms in a light cream sauce.
King Street is in a Holiday mood too, with goodies and prizes from Lower, Middle and Upper King as well as our Peninsula friends.
This month Let's Do Lunch in Charleston has selected a very special children's charity to support, HALOS. HALOS provides assistance to abused and neglected Charleston children and their caregivers. Through a variety of programs and initiatives, they help to improve the lives of these children.
Il Cortile del Re is located at 193 King Street. Park in the City Garage just a few steps west of King on Queen, or in the Majestic Square Garage at Market Street. Bring your ticket to the event for validation.
