Helping the Difficult Child - How to help Children with Challenging Behaviors and Overcome their Childhood Trauma

When love alone is not enough there are solutions. You will learn techniques that help bring laughter and love back into the home of families in need and provide resources for professionals who offer support.

   * Solutions to behavior problems
   * Specific interventions to help challenging children
   * What is respite and how to find providers
   * Educating the educators

The seminar will be presented by Nancy Thomas. Nancy is a Therapeutic  Parenting Specialist, who has shared her life and home for over twenty-five years with severely emotionally disturbed children diagnosed with conditions including: Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), Asperger's, Bipolar Disorder, ADD, ADHD, Tourette's Syndrome and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PSTD) and others. Some children were ritualistically abused; others had histories of abusing animals and arson. Nancy has an 86% success rate with high-risk children placed in her therapeutic foster care home.

An internationally known trainer, Nancy has trained more than 50,000 parents and professionals in her powerful parenting methods. Her work was highlighted in and HBO special Child of Rage. Her books, videos, and workshops share methods that are helping children to be respectful, responsible and fun to be with, in homes across the world.

Q&A

Question: When is the last day to register for this conference? Thank you.
Answer: Tickets may be purchased online until Midnight MT March17. If you would like to show and and register the day of, I would appreciate a heads up of the possiblity so we can ensure we have easy access to extra seats.
 
Question: Is this conference just for attachment disorders or can it help Aspergers with the same behaviors?
Answer: There are many similarities in the disorders. The parenting techniques work with Aspergers, ADHD, PSTD, Bi-Polar and many other diagnosis. The preseneter has worked successfully with many children diagnosed with Aspergers.
