Speaker: Seth Goldman, Co-Founder and TeaEO, Honest Tea
Having a great product is only the first step in creating a successful company. To fuel growth, you must find a way to make your product available to the right customers in the right places and at the right price. This session will address the practical tools and key aspects of a successful sales strategy:
-- Creating a sales-driven organizational culture
-- Choosing in-house sales force versus brokers
-- Incentivizing your sales team for peak performance and profitability
Seth Goldman co-founded Honest Tea in 1998 with Professor Barry Nalebuff of the Yale School of Management. Over the past seventeen years the company has thrived as consumers have shifted toward healthier and more sustainable diets. In March 2011, Honest Tea was acquired by The Coca-Cola Company, helping to further the reach and impact of Honest Tea's mission by becoming the first organic and Fair Trade brand in the world's largest beverage distribution system. In September, 2013, Seth and Barry published their New York Times bestseller, Mission in a Bottle. In 2008 Seth co-founded Bethesda Green, co-chaired its board for three years and continues to serve on its board.
