The Jazz Intervention Project featuring Art Sherrod Jr.

N-Motion Entertainment will be presenting the Jazz Intervention Project featuring the Urban Pathways and Central Catholic HS Jazz Ensembles along with special guest artist, Art Sherrod Jr. on Sunday April 19, 2015 @ 6:00 pm at Latitude 360, 200 Quinn Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15275.

The Jazz Intervention Project is a musical competition that will occur every 3rd Sunday of the month, featuring high school bands. Judges will select at least three to four members from each band that display extraordinary musical talent. At the end of the Jazz Intervention Project in the spring of 2015, those selected musicians will collectively make up the 'all star' jazz band and have the opportunity to perform with a national recording artist. It just doesn't get any better than this!

Smooth and urban jazz saxophonist Art Sherrod Jr. grew up in Palestine, Texas surrounded by parents who made music a main part of the Sherrod household. In 2003, Art decided to seriously pursue a career as a solo artist and as a result has been given the opportunity to perform, open or co-headline shows with Chuck Loeb, Marion Meadows, Roy Ayres, Natalie Cole, Boney James, Everette Harp, Bob Baldwin, Randy Scott, Noel Webb, Najee, Michael Henderson, Jean Carne, Cuba Gooding & the Main Ingredient and a host of others.

Art's an interactive performer who warms his audience up before, during and after performances, often sitting and talking with them following concerts. Get ready to go on a roller coaster of sonic emotions from an artist we should all keep our eyes on as he rises to the top while serenading us through the seasons.
