Come Celebrate Women's 100th Year of Voting in Washington
The Historic Admiral Theater Seattle, WA
2010 marks the 100th year women got the right to vote in Washington. See how it all began.
On Sunday, November 7th from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M the West Seattle Democratic Women will present a non-partisan screening of, Iron Jawed Angels at the Admiral Theater in West Seattle.
This Emmy Nominated and Golden Globe Winner was directed by Katja von Garnier and stars Hillary Swank and Angelica Houston.
It tells the story about a group of defiant young activists who banded together from 1912 to 1920 to take the women's suffrage movement by storm, putting their lives at risk to help American women win the right to vote.
There will be a discussion immediately following the movie. By the way, did you know that the ERA STILL has not been ratified in the United States?
