Bend 2030 Transportation Forum - "How will we get there?"
Ponderosa Elementary School
Bend, OR
Share this event:

30,000 more people are expected to call Bend home by 2030. Finding solutions to accommodate all those daily drivers, bike riders, pedestrians and commuters is a community-wide challenge.

How will we do it? Better public transit? More bike paths and sidewalks? More roads? And most importantly: How will we pay for it?

Come to the Transportation Forum and have a say in creating a transportation system that meets everyone's needs.

The forum will provide information about the latest population forecasts and the funding realities facing our community. There will also be three fast-paced, interactive workshops covering:

1. The community's vision for a great transit district
2. Safe and interconnected bike and pedestrian infrastructure
3. Designing a city to maximize our transportation system

The forum, part of the Bend 2030 Livability Series, is free but requires registration in advance.

Free childcare and refreshments will be provided at the event, and a free shuttle will be available from Hawthorne Station to the event. See Bend2030.org for a whole bunch of other alternative transportation options for getting to the forum, including a ride share!

Your involvement will shape Bend 2030 recommendations to decision-makers on this critical issue. Together we can shape the future of this special place!

Funding for the Bend 2030 Livability Series is provided by the generous support of the Bend 2030 Leadership Alliance, including BendBroadband, Bend Park and Recreation District, Brooks Resources, Central Oregon Community College, the City of Bend, Deschutes Brewery, OSU-Cascades, St. Charles Health System, U.S. Forest Service, and Harcourt The Garner Group/Sunwest Builders/NorthWest Crossing.
