A concert of Brubeck's classicsTake Five, Blue Rondo à la Turk, Three to Get Readyand other songs as well, arranged in styles that blend classical and jazz music with a somewhat Brubeck-ish result.

Pianist and bandleader Linda Dowdell finds Brubeck's music inspirational due to its classical and improvised mix. No stranger to odd or mixed meters, she logged in many years with dancers, choreographers and musical theatre composers, performing with great artists including Mikhail Baryshnikov and Yo-Yo Ma. As a result, her playing and arranging have a quirky eclecticism.

Paul Desmond, Brubeck's long-time musical partner, has always been of interest to reeds player Craig Buhler, who has spent several decades trying to "get inside Desmond's head" while emulating his subtle sound and melodic dexterity.

Bassist Ted Enderle and "Groove King" Terry Smith on drums round out the quartet, supplying a solid rock for the band.
