Nemes w/ Modern Fools

Since forming around 2000 years ago, Nemes (pronounced kneemiss) has made their mark on the Boston and larger New England music scene by playing everywhere from subway stations to highly-revered rock venues. Led by duel-frontmen Dave Anthony and Josh Knowles, the band showcases a true metamorphosis of sound, featuring warm, layered harmonies and one-of-a-kind violin shredding Vanyaland describes as "fiddle-action glory." These components are delicately layered across captivating original songs to form what Under the Gun Review calls "some of the most engaging music we've heard," garnering shout-outs from national and international acts such as Alt-J and Nirvana.

Throughout 2015, Nemes will be performing to promote their debut studio full-length album, "I Carry Your Heart." Co-produced and mixed by Rick Kwan (Jim James, MMJ) and funded by a combination of busking, gigging, and crowd-funding, the 11-track record is an exploration of four minds working to create a resonant, cathartic listening experience.

Through their harnessed sound of cupboards left ransacked and warm beer on the table, Modern Fools delivers a menagerie of Delta Blues, rock on the rocks, and a sincere work ethic. With earnest howls and deliberate swells, they capture the egresses of love and tiresome gambles on the American frontier. Formed from the soils of the Northeast, Modern Fools have tapped their circuits to hot-wire their sound from New Hampshire's most challenging acts. Modern Fools are: Dylan Brown of Youngest Sun (Guitar/VOX), Josh Blair of Ghost Dinner Band (Guitar/VOX), Jordan Cusano of Youngest Sun (Drums/vox), Walker Landis of Run Gazelle Run (Bass/VOX), and Nick Haze of 'Ol Factory (Keys/VOX). The quintet is slated to release their Self-Titled EP this Spring, with a full-length LP to follow in the year.
