Jacob is a seven year old boy who lost his parents at two. He is thrown into the foster care system and they place him in an abusive home. Sadly, his adoptive father beats him into a coma. The story picks up with the child in the coma and the dream he has. In his dream, he meets a mysterious girl and they begin to play a game. As the game progresses, people from the real world pop in and out of his dream and we slowly discover his sad story. Ultimately, we find out that the little girl is an angel sent to help him transition into heaven where his real parents are waiting for him. During the end credit sequence, the cast talks briefly about child abuse and offers some contact information for anyone wanting to get involved and help abused children.
