Autumn Family Dinner at Delancey
It's time for a Delancey family dinner, an intimate evening of good food, good drink, and good company in our dining room in Ballard. Please join us on October 19 for a particularly special autumn meal, one that we're thinking of as our "handmade" dinner. We're making everything - even little details like mustard and goat cheese and pancetta - in-house and from scratch!
WHAT: A multi-course, family-style, prix-fixe dinner with matching wines. The menu is subject to change according to what looks best at the market, but here's the plan:
Chicken liver pȃté, pickles, mustard, fig compote, crispbread
Fennel soup with fried leeks and house-cured pancetta
Roast pork shoulder
Braised white beans and chard
Green salad with housemade goat cheese
Preserved grapes and local hazelnuts
Plum-cardamom tarte tatin
Housemade mascarpone ice cream
WHY: Because it's fun! It's a dinner-party-in-a-restaurant! And because we like to cook all kinds of food, even though we're usually just slinging pizzas.
