The Lonnie Mardis Quintet

Northwest native and guitaris Lonnie Mardis has been a staple on the Seattle music scene for many years. He earned his Master's Degree in Music Performance from the New England Conservatory where he studied under guitar greats, Gene Bertoncini and Jack Wilkins. He has played in festivals, clubs and concert halls
across the US and Japan.
Mardis has lead many ensembles and bands with a variety of styles including jazz, swing, rock, blues, and classical. He has played with many renowned artists including Bobby Shew, Roger Fischer and Pete Christlieb and opened for the legendary Maynard Ferguson. In addition, he has composed/arranged for Sunhawk Music, the 25th Army Band and short film scores.
For his Vashon Panache Jazz show, Mardis has invited Chuck Smith, piano, Todd Zimberg, percussion and other fine Northwest jazz players.
Along with the best of the Northwest jazz music, VAA's Panache Jazz concerts includes complimentary champagne and desserts...and always free parking!
