Martin Devaney Bday Bash + Crescent Moon is in Big Trouble
10:30pm doors/11pm showtime
How about some original music with some original words from Alexei Casselle aka Crescent Moon of Kill the Vultures. Damn, man, we've already recorded an EP like that. In short, we're coming to your town (if you live in Minneapolis or Saint Paul), but we're not coming to tear it down. We'll just be over here, blowing your mind softly. When not being in big trouble, the members of Big Trouble play with Heiruspecs, Dessa, Martin Devaney, Crossing Guards, Supreme Privacy, and some other people. They've been joined onstage by Robert Skoro, Bill Caperton, Annie from Awesome Snakes/Soviettes, Ben Weaver, Stook, P.O.S. and I think that's about it. They also sometimes play basketball. Guys you like from bands you love playing songs you know without the crappy words in the bars you drink at in the cities you sleep in. The Twin Cities are in Big Trouble.
This is the first live performance in over two years for Crescent Moon is in Big Trouble, bringing songs from their powerful 2009 EP, as well as new material. The supergroup brings together musicans from Heiruspecs, along with guitarist Steve McPherson to back Crescent Moon (Kill The Vultures, Mixed Blood Majority).
Martin Devaney: A longtime Twin Cities musician and songwriter, former member of Heiruspecs, current lead singer and songwriter for Crossing Guards, and has played with Roma Di Luna, Mike Gunther & His Restless Souls, and many others along the way. After 12 years and 6 full length albums, Devaney is bringing together some friends new and old for a new project in 2015.
Martin Devaney will be debuting new material, as well with a new band in their first performance. The group joining Devaney include past collaborators Sean McPherson (Heiruspecs) and Ryan Paul Plewacki (Sleep Study), as well as Ryan Otte (Crossing Guards) and Adam Lamoureux (Farewell Milawaukee).
