There are madcap goings-on at the Sycamore residence, where the wacky family is mismatched with the sedate Kirbys. It's also a place visited by an ex-Grand Duchess and a tax collector, where there's a printing press in the parlor, and where fireworks are manufactured in the basement. When young Tony Kirby falls in love with Alice Sycamore and brings his parents to dine with Alice's family on the wrong evening, the mismatch is hillariously apparent. "You Can't Take It With You", by Moss Hart and George S. Kauffman, has been a favorite with audiences ever since it was first produced in1938; and it's not been produced by The Stage Company since 1986. Christian Moe will direct this final production of the 29th season.
