Tour of Butte College Campus & Social Event
Butte College Oroville, CA
Join us this summer as we travel to Oroville for a
tour of the Butte College campus, followed by a
social /refreshment hour and brief presentation
with members of the AIACV Board of Directors.
Butte College is located an hour and ten minutes
north of Sacramento, nestled in the Sierra Nevada
foothills. The main campus is a designated wildlife
refuge and rests on 928 acres. The campus is a
leader in sustainability and has recently
announced it will be the first college in the U.S.
to be "grid positive" by May 2011.
Attendees will learn about many of these projects
during a short presentation, and then have the
opportunity to walk the campus and see the
several first hand, including the new LEED Gold
Certified Arts Center and Student Administrative
Services Building (up for LEED Gold Certification)
along with the Allied Health & Public Services
Center and Learning Resource Center.
Note: Please enter campus through parking Lot 1 (first lot on the right from the west gate entrance). Overflow parking is available in Lot 3. Parking is free in unmarked spaces.
Meet in the Arts Building, Room 170 (first floor, room is on the right).
