Inaugural CHBG Sensory Training Class
Come on out to Fischman Liquors and Tavern's Wreck Room to train your beer tasting palate with Brian Eichhorn, Grand Master BJCP judge.  Brian will be walking us through 12 of the most common off-flavors one can experience when sampling home brews.  Heck, you can use the knowledge to sense that weird flavor on your favorite commercial brew.  Training your senses to detect off-flavors in your own brews is one step to becoming a better brewer.  Additionally, you can trust that your friends aren't just being nice when they say they like your beer.  You can rest assured that at least you don't have any unintentional corn flavors in that Vienna Lager because you learned how to detect it.

The class will be limited to 24 people per session, we are having two sessions on March 22nd. The cost will be $25 to cover the cost of the sensory training kits from The Siebel Institute of Technology and supplies for the class.

Please feel free to bring some home brews. Brian has offered to bring a couple of judges to join us and assess your home brew at the end of each class.  He may be blunt, but at least you know you will get an honest critique of your beer.  

The intent of the class is to train the senses. Please do not come expecting to get wasted from drinking during the class.
