L. Nicole Cabe Infinite Expectation Of The Dawn March 24, 25, 31, April 1 at 7:30pm Human rights are inalienable, unassailable, unquestionable. But sometimes, we sacrifice our rights for a greater good. Set in the dystopian world after the United States suffers Civil War II, "Infinite Expectation of the Dawn" weaves the stories of Joan and Alicia, two perspectives from a country burdened with fear, who both made personal sacrifices to create their ideal reality.
Sara Porkalob Dragon Lady March 26, 27 at 7:30pm, March 29 at 2pm It is the year of the Water Dragon and the eve of Grandma Maria's 60th birthday. Traveling back and forth through 40 years of faulty memories, Sara Porkalob embodies the women of her family to weave a tale about their past that seems too ludicrous to be true. 3 generations, 6 women, 1 Dragon Lady.
Jim Loucks The Biscuiteater April 2, 3, 4 at 7:30pm The Biscuiteater is a one-man show written and performed by Jim Loucks, based loosely on his childhood, told in his Southern storytelling style with songs and humor.Jim Loucks brings his new rollicking, heartfelt solo performance to the SPF at theatre off Jackson after its premiere at the FronteraFest in Austin and a run at the Oahu Fringe. Granddaddy was his hero, a big man with a bigger personality, haunted by demons from his days as Chief of Police in small-town Georgia. A moving tribute to an imperfect hero, it examines the changing attitudes around violence and guns and what it means to be a man.
