SINGLE-SESSION PROGRAM - The Seeds We Need (K-5th grades)
Using song and movement, celebrate the life cycle of plants. Discover the importance of plant life cycles, from nurturing seeds to recognizing the ways in which they adapt, survive and thrive. During a classification game, experience the biodiversity amongst fruit and wild seeds that is essential to enriching our everyday lives. What do you need to plant a seed? What are the different ways in which seeds disperse? Students observe how contemporary artists are inspired by the complicated life cycle of seeds, and use seeds to create their own informative and striking artwork.
