WE ALL WE GOT returns to Club Six with Bay Area Native, Rydah J. Klyde of the Mob Figaz to headline the September 18th installment. Presented by Inhouse Talent and hosted by Revolutionary Poet Sellassie, WE ALL WE GOT is an independent artist showcase designed to expose interesting and determined emerging artists, cultivate relationships, and build community. The series is creating a movement where upcoming artists can gain exposure and experience and perform alongside legendary artists. WE ALL WE GOT is a place to discover some new music you just might like and mightnâÃ,ÂÃ,Ât hear elsewhere.
Rydah J. Klyde is a Bay Area rapper from Pittsburg, California. He is best known for his affiliation with the Mob Figaz, which consists of childhood friends AP9, Jacka, The Fed-X and cousin Husalah. Around 2002, Rydah signed a solo deal with Mac Dre's Thizz Entertainment label. In 2003, he realeased Tha Fly Gangsta, gaining the respect of many as a solo artist. Later in the year he appeared in the documentary Treal TV. In addition to releasing many songs on numerous Thizz compilations, Rydah saw the release of three albums; The first was with friend Johnny Cash (2) Tha Fast Gunna as the group Money Gang titled Bang Fo Bread, another solo album titled What's Really Thizzin? and another group effort with Thizz affiliate Freako titled El Pueblo Children. \His career has experienced many tragedies, like the murders of his close associates, Mac Dre, King Freako, and recently Johnny Castaneda aka Johnny Cash (2) of Money Gang. However, Rydah keeps his head up and continues the hyphy movement in memory of the great musicians who passed away.
WE ALL WE GOT host Sellassie is shining as a leading progressive voice in S.F. Bay Hip Hop. With an acclaimed debut release, IâÃ,ÂÃ,Âm TryinâÃ,ÂÃ, to Make a LivinâÃ,ÂÃ, Not a KillinâÃ,ÂÃ,Â, and a new follow-up album, Sins of Your Forefathers, he is carving his niche in Hip Hop. Although inspired and motivated from reading hundreds of books, Sellassie is self-taught and came up on the streets. SellassieâÃ,ÂÃ,Âs lyric is rooted in a deep comprehension of the world around him. He writes on domestic and world politics, international relations and community needs, corporate thuggery and the obstacles independent artists face. He has seen first hand the problems that his music addresses. He has seen black on black crime, he has lost many close friends to homicide, he has seen the drugs and money destroy his community, he has witnessed the decay of Independent Bay Hip Hop. In addition to the new record, Sellassie is building this revolutionary show series WE ALL WE GOT, is working with many social, political and youth based initiatives, and is a contributor to various special projects including Emcees for Peace's The Matter That Matters CD and the West Coast Hip Hop Awards 2010.
