Alameda Wine Walk
The City of Alameda in concert with the West Alameda Business Association (WABA) and the Park Street Business Association (PSBA) are pleased to announce the inaugural "Wine Walks" to occur on Wednesday, September 29th on Webster Street and on Thursday, October 14th on Park Street from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Wine Walks will offer wine tasting from a variety of local wineries, discussions with wine makers, live music, culinary treats, and great shopping opportunities in a charming "main street" setting.
Participants will be provided with a souvenir wine glass so they can sample wines from multiple wineries as they stroll in and out of various retail and restaurant locations. Representatives from participating wineries will be available to discuss the wine-making process, and offer recommendations and pairing advice.
Each business district will offer its own unique twist on the Wine Walks event in addition to the providing local wine tastings: Webster Street will feature the pairing of sparkling wines with decadent desserts and chocolates, while Park Street will give a nod to Oktoberfest, and the district's great local pubs by offering tastings of Belgian beers and microbrews. Also, many great restaurants will be offering Wine Walk dinner specials that can be enjoyed before, during or after each Wine Walk.
