September First Saturday @ SMNHC
The 2010 "First Saturdays" at the Sandia Mountain Natural History Center (SMNHC) end with the final Saturday on May 4. If you have never been to the SMNHC this is a wonderful way to experience the Sandia Mountains and learn about the natural wonders New Mexico has to offer.
On September 4, the SMNHC staff will lead groups on nature hikes, interpreting the flora, fauna and general ecology of the Sandia Mountains. The hikes will take place from 10:00-12:00 and range from an easy kid friendly hike to a moderate 2 mile hike.
These hikes are free.
